Como Co-presidentes do Comitê da LESI Américas, nós temos o prazer de recebê-los na Conferência da LESI Américas 2020 que este ano ocorrerá em São Paulo, Brasil.   Nós sabemos como é importante o entendimento das mudanças globais para negociações e para realização de acordos de licença de sucesso. Dessa forma, nós acreditamos que o tema de “Licenciamento para o Sucesso na Mudança de Mercado Global” nos parece assertivo e será de interesse para Conferência este ano.

Nós estamos felizes em ter tantos membros da LES e convidados de toda América e de todo o mundo, assim como muitos convidados especiais, incluindo Fiona Nicolson, Presidente da LESI. A organização da LES tem mais de 9000 membros individuais em 90 países, promovendo networking entre seus membros, patrocinando atividades educacionais, e muito mais. Nós esperamos que após os próximos dias de exposições com a LES, os convidados se tornem também membros.

Este ano o encontro vai incluir informações sobre legislações de diferentes regiões geográficas sobre privacidade, PI transacional e tecnologia em setores específicos, como óleo e gás, biotecnologia, high tech e energia limpa. Será uma oportunidade de discutir as tendências de tecnologias e suas implicações legais ao redor do mundo. Nós almejamos que seja uma experiência esclarecedora e que irá gerar muito debate.

As Co-Chairs of the LESI Americas Committee, we are delighted to welcome you to the LESI Americas 2020 Conference this year in São Paulo, Brazil. We know how important understanding global changes can be to negotiating and completing successful licensing deals. Accordingly, we believe our theme of “Licensing for Success in Changing Global Market” rings true and will be topical for Conference this year.

We are pleased to have so many LES members and guests from across the Americas and all over the world, as well as many special guests, including Fiona Nicolson, LESI President. The LES organization has over 9000 individual members in 90 countries, promoting networking among its members, sponsoring appropriate educational activities, and so much more. We hope that after the next couple of days of being exposed to the LES organization, the guests will become members themselves.

This year’s meeting will include information regarding different geographical legislations in the privacy, transactional IP and technology in specific sectors, such as oil and gas, biotech, high tech, and clean energy. It will be an opportunity to discuss the most relevant trends around the world regarding technology and their legal implications. We hope it will be an enlightening experience that will generate much conversation.
